‘Shershaah’ steals the show at IIFA 2022
The 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) was held on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi in June 2022.
One of the biggest awards night witnessed Shershaah winning hearts and walking away with the top honours. Produced by Kaash Entertainment and Dharma Productions, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, Shershaah emerged as the top winner. Based on the life of Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra, the film also won awards in the music category. Leading the nomination race with 12 nods, Shershaah ruled the night and grabbed the top spot.

- Best Film – Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah, Himanshu Gandhi, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
- Best Director – Vishnu Varadhan
- Best Screenplay – Sandeep Shrivastava
- Best Playback Singer Female – Asees Kaur for the song ‘Raataan Lambiyan’
- Best Playback Singer Male – Jubin Nautiyal for the song ‘Raataan Lambiyan’
- Best Music Direction – Tanishk Bagchi, Jasleen Royal, Javed-Mohsin, Vikram Montrose, B Praak, and Jaani for Shershaah
