Renowned film producer and writer Shabbir Boxwala was conferred with the prestigious Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award at the 18th Global Film Festival Noida, held from December 10 to 12 at the iconic Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The honour recognises Boxwala’s remarkable contribution to Hindi cinema over the years, acknowledging his enduring influence across both mainstream and niche cinematic landscapes.

The award ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent film personalities, media professionals, and international delegates. A respected voice in the industry, Boxwala was warmly applauded for his commitment to meaningful storytelling and his role in shaping and promoting the evolving language of Hindi cinema.

While accepting the honour, Boxwala reflected on his cinematic journey and spoke about cinema’s unique ability to connect people.
